Hi:

Don't know if the problem it's due to DM, but I installed 4.7 over 4.6 and 4.6 over 4.5. This fixed some problems in my case, uninstalling previous versions for doing a 'clean' 4.7 install, give me some troubles.

I upgraded my ATT 8310 to this release when it came out. And I have added and deleted apps since then. Today I wanted to add something, and my DM 4.6 tells me there is an OS 4.5.0 upgrade that it wants to apply of 11mb. It also won't let me uncheck it. Any idea what this is? I confirmed that I have 4.5.110. Isn't that the latest one?

I got the same thing with DM 4.6, upgraded to 4.7 and get the same thing:
it checks for application updates and prompts me to upgrade to the version I
already have installed. Just for fun, I went through the upgrade process AGAIN
just to humor the thing, but on subsequent invocations of DM 4.7, when it
checks for application updates, it keeps telling me I need to upgrade.
There must be some parm somewhere that is not getting updated...

Maybe someone asked this before but will there be an OS based on 4.6 in the future?

I moved the folder with the OS update to another location so that Dm would not see it and I was able to bypass the OS Update. I had one guess, though. I used MaxMem to delete Push to Talk and a few other things. Perhaps DM noticed it was missing and that caused it to assume an OS upgrade was needed?

[QUOTE=carrolldf;1241511]Is it worth it? I think so. However, you must use the version for the 8320 on your 8320. This one is for the 8310 and the OS is device specific.

I used it on my 8320... And it's still working...Might I run into problems now??

My 8320 is now on OS 4.5.0.110

Will this be okay??

Yeah I did...but my blackberry is functioning "okay" should I get the one for 8320 and install that one over this one? I am on 4.5.0.110 and it was the 8310 one I used to upgrade I believe..

Default Help Please :(

I followed everything step by step to download the OS for my Curve - TWICE. I'm new to this and had some help to make sure I did everything accordingly. My phone is now constantly resetting itself. It turns on - verifies security software to 100% and then turns off and repeats. I have tried pulling the battery and re-downloading a different OS. PLEASE HELP!! I'd truly appreciate the helpppp.

Have you tried it with the media card removed? Give that a try and report back.

same here, couldn't find away the problem and i'm not kidding you, I invested 12 hours into it! My restarts after it connects to network. It gets worse and worse. Unusable. Tried everything, Have no clue what it is so I gave up and rolled back to 4.2.

FYI, got this 8310 in Feb/March 2007.

So rolling back solved your problem?

P.S. Replace your battery.

Reason why I am saying this it has been reported that rebooting problems have been corrected with a new battery. Worth a try since every other measures have been taken!

yup, couldn't get 4.5 to work so had to rolled back. First time I spend like 10 hrs. Then weeks later I tried again after reading a few more things but no luck, only wasted 2-3 hours this time.

As for battery, have 3 of them, but not sure if I rotated. Dunno if its worth the 2 hours to try! LOL.

I'll let someone else be the guinea pig.
