Default how to delete instant messaging program

Please Login to Remove!

hi all,

i unlocked my storm for tmobile and installed all the service books but i was wondering how to delete the program instant messenger? tried doing it through desktop manager and couldnt.

any way to do it?

please let me know

I just hid the "Instant Message" folder. It does not seem that those items are actually on the device. They are links to download. The only one I could delete was "Blackberry Messenger." I did this by highlighting the icon and used the menu key and then clicked "delete."
At least that is how my phone is set up. Not sure if this helped, but good luck.

In the desktop manager, if you select add/update application, the bbmessenger app should appear. If you uncheck it and click on next, it should uninstall it

This is what I observe as well. The applucations aren't installed, the icons are just there to install it. So if you highlight the icon and it doesn't say delete then it's not installed. You'll notice that when you click on those icons it will take you to a EULA.

As mentioned in a previous post today, you could just delete the service books for AIM, GTalk ... Etc .. That is supposed to get rid of the icons.
