For the newcomers of the 7510

i just got mine 3 days ago, so far its been great, Nextel in my area is good, so have had good luck.

I wish the screen was a bit brighter, same for the keyboard.

I would say jump in and get it, yes Nextel is going to launch the 7520 but as good nextel is sometimes they push the date foward they said it was going to be here in december but like with the cell phones sometimes they are off by a few months.

now if i could just get my hands on the 4.0 os.

I'm a blackberry fan in general so the option of a Nextel blackberry (meaning i get DC included) was optimal.

the 7510 is one of the first BB's to come with a speakerphone as well.

the trade off is that it's significantly thicker than the other blackberry's.

if you want/need Nextel, and you want/need push email, the 7510 is the way to go

Nextel models also support the larger sized battery kit.

i used to have a cingular bb and relatively speaking if you talk at all on the phone you will BURN thru the nextel batter.

if you are on a rate plan over $50 per month (are talking that much) you'd benefit from a car charger imho

If you use the phone, get the extended battery, I use my blackberry ALOT during the day, and use the phone for probably 3 hours on average a day and the extended battery is more than sufficent to make it through a good day of use, but I do keep a car charger for backup just in case.

My web browsing experience has been bad to say the least. I can't get to many sites other than WAP enabled ones, and even they are spotty.

Many times I can't even follow the links in my CNN Morning News e-mail.

I have yet to be able to download anything over-the-air.

But then again, YMMV!
