Upgraded to OS 4.6.xx.185 and I'm very happy with it, double the visible memory; longer battery life under 3G and streaming video (CV + uTube) works perfectly fine in NY... Keep it up RIM! Hurry up - AT&T!!!

Weird issues with my Bold since upgrading to .185 is that my email will only work when set to 2G.

I'm connected to a BES and my carrier is Telstra.

Anyone got any ideas?

Went from stock .167, to beta .168...then to official .185...then to official .190...and after getting the bug in .190 that makes it impossible to view your thumbnail pics unless they're stored to a memory card...downgraded back to the very reliable and usable .185.

Until RIM releases an updated version that actually improves performance instead of hindering it...I'll stay where I'm at!

If you put the phone on mute in the otter box, hit speakerphone button to turn on then unmute there should be no high pitch noise. Just a workaround that works.

Default What's left????

I have applied .190 after running .185 and suffering from constant reboots. I didn't do a full wipe and install simply an upgrade. I am running on a BES server and have basic apps loaded. But about every few hours the phone just reboots. I have the following loaded:
Viigo
Beejive
G-Maps
Garmin
Berry411
Simulscribe
Rove Mobile
Flycast

Not sure what's left to do????

HI all,
I upgraded from .144 to .185.
The process was going smoothly without any errors.
After the upgrade, I turned off my BB, took out the battery, put the battery again, and started up again.
My memory increased significantly and everything was fine.

The problem is I can not connect to BIS. I do not see any BB logo besides my 3G signal. It means I can't use BIS service.
My question is how to get my BIS service back.
I already sent the service book but there is no difference.

Any help?

Thanks a bunch!

Options > Advanced > HRT > Menu > Register.
The leave you BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery for a few seconds to reboot.

Hi all,

The data service in mobile network option is set to ON. And everything is in place.
The only thing that I found that the GPRS was also dead. So the service book was not really got sent out from my PC to the device.
The battery and SIM Card pull out didnt help.
So the strange thing happened this morning.
In the mobile network option, I changed the option from Automatic to Manual and I set 3G instead of 3G & 2G. The result was is still the same.
At that time I was desperated. Wiping the handheld is my last option at that time.
So out of the blue, I went to mobile network option again, changed the option from Manual to Automatic, and set back to 3G & 2G from 3G.
You know what? Suddenly I got the Blackberry Registration message, and the 3G Blackberry simbol showed up next to my signal strength indicator.
I am connected to BIS !
So ever since everything works well and fine like normal.
Weird.. isn't it???
But I am happy know that everything back to normal again and I got the memory increase significantly. Hahaha..

Thanks all for the reply,

Your friend is wrong. The OS are usually between 60 and 100mb in size depending on what languages are included.

Finally upgraded my BBB to .185! Memory is excellent, the OS runs faster and the browser seems to load pages faster. Haven't noticed a significant increase in battery life though. All in all, I'm pleased with the upgrade. Only took about 14 minutes to upgrade.
