Default Voice notes not saving

Please Login to Remove!

I have had 4.5 for about a week or two now and I just tried to use the voice note feature the other day. When I later went back to check the voice note in the media section, there were no voice notes.

I figured that I might have not saved it, so to test it I recorded "test test test" and made sure I saved it. Still no voice note. When I plug the Pearl into my computer, the voice notes show up, but not on the phone itself.

I'll troubleshoot but if anyone else has experienced this it'd be nice to know what you did to fix it (if anything).

When you click Media, does the bottom show 'scanning' forever? If so, there is a fix for that. Sorry I can't remember the fix, but just do a quick search in the Beta forum, I know I found it there.

Thumbs down

I've got an 8130 and I have a similar problem.

I was at an event this morning, recording the event. My holster likes to press the button on the top of the device, so after a couple of times re-holstering it, I just left it on my lap, where I could watch the counter on the "recording" screen. I remember seeing it at 57 minutes or so, but the recording that I got out of it is only five minutes long. I double-checked by putting it in a card reader and checking on my computer.

Are there any instructions on how to properly record and save a voice note? The icons at the bottom of the record screen are not intuitive, and the user manual for voice notes (as it is with everything else) is absolute useless garbage.

Much appreciated,

- RG>

alright i've reformatted and reinstalled the OS, and it was still doing it.
I put all my voice notes back first, they showed up.
Put all my ringtones back, they showed up.
Put all my pictures back, they showed up.
Put some of my music back, endless scanning.

So now I have to narrow it down to whatever song it is...

Okay, I am convinced that the reason this happens is folders within folders.

You can have a folder within the "music" folder, but you cannot have a folder within THAT folder.

Example:
computer>blackberry>music>showbiz with the music files under shobiz is okay.

however, computer>blackberry>music>muse>showbiz with music files under showbiz causes the forever scan problem. Can someone else test and confirm? Once I took out all the folders within folders under "Music" everything worked perfectly. Good thing I'm really anal about organization and my IDEE tags are all up to date, otherwise I'd NEED the folders.
