Sticking paper behind battery improves screen clicking....
Please Login to Remove!
So i tried a hint from another forum, to add a folded up piece of paper under the battery and the sensitivity of the click on the screen has greatly improved.....
figured id share with the community, let me know if anyone else has any similar or better recommendations.....
TIA

How many folds of a piece of paper did you use? I guess what this is doing is taking any flex there might be out of the screen.

yea it removes a bit of gap thats in there, makes the creen a little more responsive to clicks, i folded up a piece of paper thin plastic in half, semmed to have helped alot. I bet if I had a bigger piece and could fold it antoher time, so 4 layers, it would be even better.

Aside from click responsiveness which is difficult to gauge for me, it does resolve the issue where the back cover is a bit loose which was really annoying to me. Nice little trick.

I cut a puece from a file folder and re-did this, I Folded it once, placed it into the battery "hole" and then reinserted the battery as normal, so nothing falls out if you need to access the SD or SIM Card.

WOW that made a huge diff! thanks guys! beleive it or not that may have made the diff between me keeping this phone and bailing on it! that fixed the lower two corners!
here is what i did, i got my business card and cut off about 33% put that under the battery, then i put in the battery (pretty hard to get in) and then i put the remaining 66% of the card on top of the battery, and put on the battery door. THIS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER!

any possibility of the paper catching on fire from the heat generated from the device. I really hate mixing anything flammable with heat. I do not have a BB yet, but these forums are a great learning tool before I do get one.

I would be careful about putting the card under the battery, you might put to much presure on the contacts.

Okay, I am going to go have 10,000 business cards printed. They will say BlackBerry Storm Touchscreen Adjuster and have a printed fold mark. Sell them for $5 a piece plus shipping ?? Any takers?

Take a business card:
Cut a small strip:
Fold once:
Then place here (closest to center of screen):
Put everything back together and power on. Enjoy

nothing much just THE SCREEN! hahhahaah, no but really you know how on the bottom of the screen you have to press it much harder to make it "click" this evens that out it also make the rest of the screen click MUCH easier.
