I just built a simple application to add GPS/Cell locations to the
OpenCellID initiative. This initiative builds a database of GPS coordinates and Cell tower information to allow for non-GPS applications to build location sensitive services.
The small application I built just tracks your GPS location and Cell tower info and adds it to the OpenCellDB. No personal information is stored or kept. The application has options for how frequent locations are polled and can be turned off easily.
As of now, I've tested it and it seems to work fine, but I wanted to see if a few other people could test it out. Please respond to this thread with any feedback or success stories.

Please Note: this application has only been tested on an 8320 with an external GPS Puck.
Thanks.
