Default Hourglass flashes every 3 seconds on 8310

Please Login to Remove!

The hourglass flashes on my screen every 3 seconds...how can I stop this?!

I thought it might be the processor working or it dowloading/uploading...so i deleted my email accounts and turned everything off. I also took out my memory card, but it is still flashing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I have the same problem with my tmobile curve 8320 when I upgraded my OS to v. 4.5.0.81 last week. I wish someone can help us resolve this issue. It slows down all the things I do with this hour glass popping.

I had the same problem. Did you guys install the facebook application? I did, the one through the phone. My hour glass wouldnt even go away. You have to delete this application. Do a soft reset (while on, take the battery out for a minute)

You can download an updated version of facebook app through the blackberry website but must nagivate over there with your phone. dont click the icon that you have and install it that way.....hope this helps.

do you have content encryption enabled? this can slow the device down immensely if enabled. check by going to options>security options>general settings.

If your battery is draining ridiculously fast and you have the facebook app installed, that could be the problem. A few other people, myself included, have been able to solve the issue by uninstalling facebook.

I had the same problem. Facebook was on my phone for 7-8 months with no issues. Today got the hourglass and I wasn't getting my email for some reason. Found this thread, uninstalled the FB application, restarted and everything's fine now.

I assume you tried pulling the battery and rebooting?

As others have said, try deleting Facebook, and see if that helps. This is what I did on the Verizon 8330 Curve that I had, after it developed the same problem.
