Default edge is not capitalized

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

I have a Blackberry 8310

Device is not locked for another carrier
I 'm using GSM calls and SMS texting
I tried to battery pull several times
I tried to install OS upgrade or downgrade several times
I have DATA plan with my carrier
I tried several time to Register now in HRT
I tried several times to wipe and resettofactory with JL_Cmder

but still edge is not capitalized...:(

I talked with my carrier they sad there was no problem with your DATA plan or simcard.

do you have another idea about my problem with my device

Most likely the theme you're using, try a different theme.

Make sure you have a Blackberry Data Plan, not just a generic Data plan. Also check on the device on Mobile Network Options the data services is ON

What is the 8th digit on your at&t sim card - 3? (3022) - 2? (2022) or 4? (4022) EDIT: Never Mind - I saw 8310 and assumed it was At&t - sorry

FYI: it still sounds like a sim in compatability if your data plan is intact...

Is your 8310 new??

H.

Pardon the ignorance, but what is the difference between a capitalized and non-capitalized Edge (other than of course the actual capitalizing)?

EDGE = full functionality (e-mail, internet, SMS, MMS, voice, etc.)

edge= connectivity to carrier network, but not the Blackberry network ( SMS, MMS, voice all OK, no e-mail push or BBM) .

I think "EDGE" or "edge" is a functionality of network rather than the device itself. You may want to contact your provider for the discrepancy. It should work fine if it is unlocked.
