Purging emails question

Howdy,
This is undoubtably a very simple (and prob. silly question), but I realized I actually didn't know the answer for sure so here we go...
Say you have your BB email reconciliation set so that if you delete an email in your outlook inbox it also deletes it off of your BB device, and vice versa.
So say you have your BB device set to purge emails after 30 days - will those emails purged end up also being deleted from your outlook?
