I am not sure if I am doing this correctly but here goes.

I disassembled my 8100 and replaced the LCD but when I put it back together the red led flashed once and then the screen was black. I took out the battery and reinstalled it but still red flashing led and no screen. Tried a new battery same thing. Checked old battery power showed charged. Want to know how to fix if I can. I would appreciate any help

Heres an idea. Disassemble again and re-assemble. Something obviously got loose when putting it back together.

I have disassemble and re-assemble a couple of times and have also re-installed the software via blackberry application loader and still the same red led flash once and then the screen was black. Are there any other suggestions or am I wasting my time with this thing?

I have the exact same problem did the same thing. Other than I can't load software on my phone. For me I get a red LED and that is all no screen or back light or pearl light up.
