Got a reliable source inside Alltel. Seems the last hurdle for 4.5 release is MMS. MMS is/was not working (I confirmed that) with 4.5. No time frame as of yet but at least there is confirmed 4.5 workings underway!

The 8830 World Edition doesn't do MMS anyway but the 8330 Curve does. I have no further information outside of the 8830 and the 8330 at this time.

Us Alltel folk have some light, although it may just be a tiny LED at the end of a very long and dark tunnel, it IS a light!

I just upgraded to OS 4.5 on my Alltel Curve and MMS appears to be functioning just fine. I'm sending and receiving picture messages anyway.

I believe he is talking about the audio/video part of mms that is being worked on. Alltel Curves send/receive pictures, but not audio/video.

So the curve on alltel with 4.5 can send/recieve pics, right? Sorry, been waiting to upgrade but kept reading (or not finding info on) the pics portion (dont care about video/audio, i use pic mms for work).

It appears my MMS stopped working after a little while. I can send pictures, can't receive pictures/video. Downgraded back to OS 4.3. HTML E-mail is nice, however there's no option to automatically download pictures -- you have to select it each time you open the message. Docs To Go is nice and when I downgraded to 4.3, I left it on there and it complained that I wasn't on 4.5.. Damn you DV

Correct, but only pictures, not audio/video, yet.

Sweet. Now depending on my service when I get to jersey....I may end up with an 8320 anyway on another carrier. damn this moving!

I could not get ANY MMS anything in or out on the Curve in KS with 4.6.x.

I was HOPING for some updates cruz'n here this morning.

Backed off to 4.3 and immediately got a (VERY NICE) picture about an hour later. Although I lost HTML email, the picture was SO worth it. Now I am really wanting to get back to HTML email.........

Alltel just released it for the pearl today. Should be soon for the curve.
