Question non-slip adhesive strips

Please Login to Remove!

I saw a link somewhere, which I've now lost, to a supplier of non-slip strips for the left and right edges of Blackberrys. They are cut to provide access to the wheel and buttons, easily removable and when on still allow the BB to fit in its factory belt holster.

If anyone knows of the vendor and has a link, I'd appreciate it.

I have a 7290. Does anyone know if another model has the same footprint in regards to wheel placement, etc? They don't list the 7290, but list many others. I can get the universal to cut out myself but would rather have a precut.

I believe that the 7250 has the same footprint as the 7290. I havae e-grips on mine and they work great.

Looks like they have the peeling/adhesive issue fixed per Cindy at Egrips:

Back in March we did have a quality issue but it is now resolved. We have not received any reports of problems or adhesive issues in the past 6 months.

Default Egrips for 7250

They're out of stock at egrips web site. Two weeks ago Cindy said they'd be in stock within 2 weeks. Yesterday in an email to me she said it would be another 2 weeks.

Is there any other vendor that carries them and may have them in stock? Thanks,

- JR

Took a chance and ordered a generic set (says they're for the 6200/7200 series)

After having had egrips on my Treo 600 & 650, I'm impatient to get them on my BB 7250.

Newbie observation ... Tried the Speck skin-tight for just 5 minutes. I'm sending it back. The complaints expressed on this forum about gaps around screen were dead on. On TreoCentral, I found many users to be overly picky and thought that might be the case here too. Lesson learned.

I'm using a 7230 set on my 7290. It fits fine.

What 7290 case/holster are you using with those egrips installed?

That might be kind of neat. Sometime it feels like it is ready to slip right out of my hands, other times not so much.

I bought an OEM plastic holster and returned it the next day (immediately after wear from it started to show).

I'm using RIM's ACC-05505-024 leather holster, which has deeper elastic bands on the sides to better accommodate the 7290. The egrips make it a little tight at first, but it soon loosens up. I ordered it from SmartPhoneDepot.com.

I have the 7250 and got the E-Grips the other day, and wow! what a difference, no more slipping out of my hand, or sliding around when sitting on the dash. Totally worth the $9.00.
