Default Blackberry device changed - Licence code not accepted

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I switched today from a 8700 to a Curve and re-installed also Pocketday (I have licenced the Personal version). However my licence code is not accepted, which likely is linked with the fact that my PINs have changed. How can I solve the issue?

Thanks
Tom

Actually, I reported an issue with recurring appointments under 4.5 and my issue report was acknowledged.

And, with the released (not beta) version of PD, the issue I'm having is still there.

Specifically, I have a yearly repeat that appears on the day, as well as the day before.

squeff,

We have yet to reproduce this issue. It's really weird that we can't reproduce it. I have 5 different OS 4.5 devices and can't for the life of me make this problem happen. Did you enter this event on the BB or on Outlook?

Default Problems with PocketDay Pro 5.4.1.3

Just installed Pocketday Pro 5.4.1.3 and it seemed to installed ok,
but will not start.

It tries to start and quietly dies after 4-5 seconds.

I have reset firewalls, permissions, deleted and reinstalled PD all to no effect.
PD will ask the usual questions on startup about access to SMS and Phone Logs
but when I try to run, it sits there and then nothing.

Any thoughts - as I am now without this great little application

I have BB Pearl 8100 4.2.1

thanks

Into native BB app. Completely repeatable.

Subject = "Test"
All Day Event = Checked
Start: Monday, Sep 15, 2008
End: Monday, Sep 15, 2008
Duration: 1 Day
Time Zone: Eastern
Show Time As: Free
Reminder: None
Recurrence: Yearly
Relative Date = Unchecked
End = "Never"

Save. Return to PD. Confirm that it shows for today, Monday, September 15. Press "b" key to go back a day. Shows "Test" as being an all day event for Sunday, September 14. This is not correct.

This is PocketDay 4.5.1.2. This in on a Sprint 8830 with Platform 3.2.0.51, App 4.5.0.77(101).

I'm Jewish, so having events start the day before is nothing new to me. However, unless there is a Judaism option that I'm missing, I'm guessing this wasn't the intention.

Anyway, you now have an official report of a problem with recurring events until 4.5.

Originally the "system" view appeared on the summ page, but I removed it. I now want it back but can't find anyway in settings to re-insert it. The "system" option appears no where.

Am I supposed to be able to change the color of the google/search section? I go into settings/screen setup, change the color, save, but the color doesn't change/save.

There doesn't appear to be an option to change the color of the PD date-line. However, if I scroll and select a section in the "Ribbon", go to that section, and then hit the return button back to the summ page, THEN the date-line color changes to the color have selected for whatever section I had just come from having used the Ribbon. The only way to revert the date-line color back to the default (white) is to exit and restart the program.

Also, the screen shots on Handango show "today's calendar" in green with time lines to the right, and the different days listed and separated. I like that view, but have been unable to duplicate it on my device. Is that view device specific and thus unavailable to the 8310?

Last, is there a way to jump to the top or bottom of the summary page, for example by setting up a shortcut key? In the standard BB programs (mail for example), "T" takes you to the top and "B" to the bottom. This would be a great option in PD on the summary page, since if you know you want to go to the weather section at the bottom of the summ page a click of "B" would do it, and then another click of the "T" would take us right back to the top.

Any input on these issues (though relatively minor) would be appreciated.

thanks

Craig

crs, -> my problem is that recurring appointments doesn't appear at all. The recurring appointments are still visible in the BB Calendar application, but they aren't visible in the today part from PD.
(I didn't have this problem with PD 5.3)

Default Stocks won't update

It appears the only way to get the stocks to update is to manually refresh. They aren't updating automatically anymore. Any suggestions CRS? Thanx.

I sent a question to support regarding that. The answer I received was that due to the high cost of financial information, the stocks no longer have automatic updating.

crs,

If I open an SMS message in the native application (with seperate folders for email and SMS) the SMS is not marked as read in PocketDay.

mdlissner, the ability for 3rd party apps to access SMS on the BB is restricted by RIM. If they every change it, we will add the feature.

I am still having a few issues with the latest version of PD (5.1.4) running on an 8310 with OS 4.5.

First, smart quotes (the curly ones) in emails which I open from PD replace the quotes with strange characters, like Euro signs. I believe it happens when viewing html is turned on.

Second, When I reply to an email from PD, it places the cursor in the Subject field. There is no way to get the cursor into the body field.

Third, deleting phone calls from PD continues to freeze PD.
