Default Weirdest Thing

Ok I'm going to keep searching the forums ...but I'm posting just in case somebody already knows the answer to this:

I upgraded my 8310 to the latest OS and now when the screen blacks out after a minute of inactivity, when I try to use the phone, the screen is just like a washed out white and I have to hold down the mute to put it in standby and then hit it again to bring it out in order to use my phone.

Anybody seen this?

have you tried a battery pull? I can't say I have seen that, but it might clean it up.

I have pulled the battery and it still does it.

Also ...I don't want the backlight to stay on the entire time 'cause it'll kill my battery.

Ah ...I'll just try and reinstall the OS and see what happens.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks, guys.

That's sounds like the thing to try if it's doing weird things. The OS file is pretty big and it's not impossible for some part of it to be corrupted on the download. Or for the install to not go exactly right.

You may want to try downloading the OS file again as well.
