Default does v4.6.0 support A2DP?

Please Login to Remove!

hiya all,

i'm having problems with getting stereo music from a bluetooth stereo headset (i.Tech Clip Radio). i'm pretty sure v4.5 supports A2DP; am i right assuming v4.6 supports it also?

Yes, 4.6 supports A2DP. They wouldn't remove something like that. However, you're using a Pearl and posting in the 8100 forum...I'm guessing you don't have 4.6 on your Pearl.

Yes, a pearl is an 8100. However, there is no 4.6 OS for the Pearl 8100. 4.6 is only out for the Bold. Are you referring to Desktop Manager 4.6? If so, that has nothing to do with what OS Is on your device. Look in Options >About on your device to see what OS you have.

Check the sticky at the top of the 8100 forum. It has the latest OS. Its a two-step process. You have to have Desktop Manager. You ALSO have to have the OS installed to your PC. Go get it. No A2DP on 4.2.

not sure whether this should be a new thread...

i installed 4.5 as per the instructions, got the white screen with 2/3 small icons (although no 507), reopened DM and reinstalled.

after some friggin around it's working again but:

1. it's really slow compared to before with 4.2.1
2. the daisy wheel/timer icon pops up every 3/4 seconds for a second, then disappears again. this was continual for about 15 minutes, seems to have settled down now.

is this normal?

The hourglass is normal while the device scans the microSD card for media. Once it's all done with that it should be fine.

it seems to ahve settled down now as you say, although i'm a bit dissappointed how slow 4.5 is compared to 4.2.

i've been given some hints to speed things up(in a new thread i started; we seemed to have moved on here.)

When 4.5.0.69 is released it will speed things up quite a bit.
