My Windows Live Messenger has been working fine for a week and then one night it wont let me sign in due to
"You have been signed out because you signed in on a different computer or device" - message. It kicks me out everytime I change my status to "Online"

How is this possible when; my computer is off, I'm not using any other devices. I changed my password as well. Pulled my battery out. But it still says I'm signed in somewhere.


What can I do to fix this? Am I missing something?

Sounds strange. But not every [Microsoft] problem has a logical explanation. Try reinstalling.

the other thing is maybe someone has your password? i have windows messenger & windows live messenger on my desktop and both log in and throughout the day i see my self going on and off....lol

Okay I reinstalled WLM and still getting kicked out

Mine has done the same since day one. Check box says sign in automatically but it has never worked that way.
