Yeah!! I turned off "Automatic" so it doesn't force roaming. The biggest selling point for me getting the Curve was that it was Sprint's first QWERTY BB w/Camera.

Just4747, before you uninstall the Device Software though, completely remove Docs To Go, and then synch up with the BB Desktop software, and let Docs To Go re-install.

When you disconnect from the PC, go through the normal Docs To Go upgrade process.

Then before you synch up again, uninstall the Device Software from the PC, and you should be trouble-free.

Did you delete the vendor.xml last? You might check again as its installed during DM installation AND OS installation

Yep, fizz, follow the instructions in the first post IN the order they are posted... if you install DM again, you must delete the vendor file again.

Grr. I seem to have lost the default font I was using (it was called BBSystem I think). And it sort of uglified my Precision theme.

I prefer the new Alpha Sans. That's one of the best things about the 4.5 upgrade, IMO.

I just finished up the upgrade from 4.3 to 4.5 a few hours ago. The upgrade went smoothly, no issues whatsoever. It took 21 minutes from start to finish (I timed it), and all of my previous settings were retaining, i.e. themes, ringer profiles, etc.

BBAlerts works fine with 4.5. No issues so far, although I did have to re-enter my 5 digit registration code. BBLight also seems to work fine. I have also had no issues with Docs to Go, and the browser is definitely faster along with the rest of the device functioning. Everything seems to work smoother with better responsiveness.

All in all I'm happy with the upgrade so far.

EDIT - Forgot to mention memory issues - I did look at my free memory after a fresh battery pull prior to the upgrade. It was 29 megs. After the upgrade, prior to a battery pull or reset I had 46 megs. Now, after a few battery pulls and updating Docs to Go, I have 37 megs. All of the original applications are intact. In fact Docs to Go was added during the upgrade and used up a little over 2 megs of extra space. I don't know why there is so much more available memory now, and the numbers really don't seem to add up, but I'm happy with it.

try a battery pull first.

I have the .66 and video's play no problem. The only thing I noticed is that I can not copy videos directly to my storage card. I have to use the Media Manager to transfer the videos. I was getting an error but don't remember if it was the same one you are getting with the videos that I transfer directly to the storage card. So you can try this second.

When Installing 4.5 DO NOT FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN AND INSTALL DOCSTOGO!!!! This will give you the ability to READ/EDIT WORD, POWERPOINT FILES and EXCEL FILES.
