1. Yes. Open the app. Then go top OPTIONS (on the menu). Now pick a profile, highlight it and hit menu. Pick EDIT. Scroll down to the UNITS field and pick METRIC.

I use Weatherbug: WeatherBug Direct For Blackberry

It gives you the temperature right on the home screen and updates frequently.

it uses edge. I use the Weatherbug one also. I was using the WeatherEye app before, but Weatherbug is more accurate for me.
