I never used .56, but .66 is quite stable. At least compared to .31 *shudder*

This software is quite stable. I've been running it since yesterday with zero problems and it fixed a problem I was having before with a couple aps working. The only neg I can see is that battery life seems to have suffered a little bit but I have more than one battery so that's not a big deal.

Quick question -- and this is a serious question, not trying to be snyde or anything: with html email with the new OS and BIS, why would you need empower email viewer?

because empower lets you choose background and font colors, font style, font size, separator design, etc....very customizable and nice looking! That's among other things...

I got used to the color schemes with empower that I prefer that over just a plain white screen when I look at my emails through 4.5's html viewing. Its much nicer IMO.

Exactly, just beat me to it. I emailed empower now to see what they say. This is my only gripe with 4.5. Funny, everyone complained about not having html viewing......I'm complaining because it has it. Empower is without a doubt much better, easier on the eyes

why? the same reason you do it on your computer... because spammers can identify you with "web beacons". when you open the image in an email its downloaded from a webserver... they now have your ip address, know where you came from, AND are sure that they sent to a live address.

All went as expected, except for some reason it unregistered my BES account. It was a simple matter to get it reactivated at work in the morning, but I wonder why the install trashes the relevant information so that such is not needed.
Also, you have to install Documents to Go seperately. Look in aps after the OS install is done, and it will be there. I don't have HTML e-mail yet, probably because my company has not yet updated its blackberry enterprise software.
My overall sense is the blackberry now operates faster in terms of respnsiveness to the keyboard, and such things as shut down and turn on. I also note several new features, including wireless update that should be useful. The browswer seems a bit tighter as well

where is the wireless update? i saw it once now i cant find it again... and when i tried it didnt work anyway, i got some error. but where is it?!?

all you have to do is move them to a backup folder somewhere. don't uninstall them because you'll need to move them back if you want to downgrade/go back.

HTML E-mail
Just to be clear on something (I know that this point has pretty much been beat to death and I apologize in advance) HTML e-mail would need to be enabled from my BES in order for me to see that in e-mail correct?
I don't have any personal e-mail accounts setup on my BB right now and after the upgrade, my e-mail doesn't look any different. I have done a battery pull, resent service books (although I didn't get a message about this) and even done the VZW *228 upgrade.
When I go to Message > Options > E-mail Settings, there is no option to enable HTML e-mail. Am I missing something??

Updated on a VZW Curve a few hours ago. Browser, Gmail, and general maneuverability seem a bit quicker, no hesitation. So far so good here.
Apps after Upgrade
GMail - Login
MLBTracker - Worked
Brickbreaker - High score still there
Viigo - Sign in with account un/pw
Vlingo - Rerun through setup wizard
Guitar Hero 3 - Need activation key
JiveTalk - Worked
Google Maps - Worked

somebody axed about the preloaded pix awhile back, yes they're not included so you'll have to add them back in like with the betas if you want them back.
