Default Tmo 7200t vs NxtL 7510 Menu Letter Driving the Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I'm trying to make the transition from a nextel 7510 to a Tmo 7100t and have found that the letter menu driven options, at least in the main menu, are gone (see below for listed tip and trick)

"4) Type the first letter of an item in an options list or menu to jump directly to that item."

Now, on my 7510 there's an option to dial directly from the home screen (ribbon) that disables the menu letter function.

Can it be that the Tmo phone comes out of the box with this feature marked?

How can I turn this off? I really want this phone to work for me but it's driving me nuts not being able to power fly thru all of the functions via typing a letter vs clicking the wheel.

thoughts?

Unfortunately, the 7100t does not have an options to disable "Dial from Home Screen", so the shortcuts are not available.
