The 8330 betas do NOT work on an 8830 (and I DL'd the 8330 beta just for fun). I got confused in this thread as well too because many of the 8330 users started sharing their experiences.

Agreed, this is a 8830 thread so comments made by 8330 users shouldn't really apply to the 8830 (in theory).

Just because the device listed in my profile is an 8330 doesn't mean I only have 1 BB. Currently I have 3 with active service on em.

I wanted to try the .66 but how do I go back to previous OS if needed? Just use DM?

use the add/remove programs in control panel to uninstall .66 and then run apploader if you still have a previous OS version installed

Don't do it. Those sites advertise files they don't really have. You'll find betas hosted in more reputable sources that don't ask for money. I still haven't found a true leaked .66 for the 8830 and have heard from more hardcore beta searchers out there that's it's not as readily available as it is for other Blackberries.

From what I'm hearing, the changes from .51 to .66 are marginal. so just hang tight (like me).
Thank you
It may explain why there is NOT more feedback on the site about this version

I'm running the old version and would like to eliminate some of the bugs. PM me if with info if the .51 is really search-able.

Doesn't this still break the rules?

Is anyone experiencing any issues with the SMS when running .66? When I am composing a text or anything it's very slow and unresponsive. it will eventually catch up to me, but I know .51 wasn't this slow when composing a text.

*sorry, this is on an 8330

Why yes, that does break the forum rules about the beta OS's.

Check my profile. I'm running .51.

Seriously, as much as I'm certain I'll run .66 if/when leaked, I'm not losing sleep over not finding it yet either. I've looked around a bit but I'm waiting for the simply neurotic lemmings for find it for me.

I assume wait until the official release. .51 is workable.
