Hello,

I have the president of our comapnys 8800 in my hand and it is not able to be unlocked!!! The pearl button, "u" key and "enter" keys are all dead or dissabled. I have pulled the battery and it is still doing the samething (of course the person who normaly deals with our blackberrys is out of the office today ). If anyone has any ideas on this i would appreciate your help.

Back up the device. It sounds like the phone has physical or liquid damage. Call your carrier and ask for a replacement device to be sent as long as its neither physical or liquid. Welcome to the forums.

Is this device password locked or just screenlocked?

We have a BES so it is locked via IT policy, when i move teh scroll wheel up and down it opens up the options to unlock, emergance call, and cancel but i cant click to select.... I did pull the battery and the moisture sensing sticker on both the battery and phone have changed color so it appears the phone took a bath :(

Then moisture damage is the problem.

ok, mine is perfectly sound.

when i roll the ball and choose unlock (out of unlock, emergency call and cancel options) - it does not work and instead the option to use *+green button is proposed (which works)

anyone has this problem or know how to solve it?

i like to be able to unlock my BB with tracker ball ... please help

You can't.

My 8830 is the same way. Scrolling to unlock is a fake option. You need to press *+Send.

Blackberry Pearl 8130 was the same way too.
