Question Bis 2.5

Please Login to Remove!

I've installed a version of the 4.5 OS on my 8100, I'm on the ATT network and I've resent my service books since the OS upgrade. Now my question is why is it taking so long to receive my emails? I'm still having to wait up to 15 minutes to receive the emails. I thought with the new OS and ATT on BIS 4.5 that I'm suppose to receive my emails a lot quicker now. Any thoughts?

The standard intervals are still in place in BIS 2.5. That's just how the system works. If you want instant mail then use your dedicated BB address, GMail, or Yahoo!

Thanks John. Do you think Blackberry will ever offer an option to integrate straight into Exchange? I work for a small company and we can't justify paying for a BES server right now, however we'd like to have instant email delivery and calendar sync. For this reason most of my coworkers look towards other phones that can work with exchange when I'd prefer to get everyone on a blackberry.

There are options for hosted BES/Exchange. Just pay a monthly fee for the service. Exchangemymail.com is one reputable one. Great service for those who need it but don't want to fork out for the entire infrastructure.

Not going to happen with BIS.
You need BES for wireless PIM sync and real-time message delivery for Exchange mailboxes.
