Default Cheap solution for BlackBerry users

Please Login to Remove!

Due to my business affairs I travel abroad very often. Usually my county of destination is France, but sometimes I also visit other places in Europe.
Ixxx8217;m a BlackBerry® user and I own a device that supports push e-mail service, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing and web browsing. I really need all these wireless information services during my business trips; otherwise I may loose a lot of customers interested in the offers I provide.
Until now, on all my business trips abroad, I had to activate an international data plan with my current US carrier. And there were a lot of cases when some providers even locked me up in a yearly subscription, but I still had to pay high roaming charges.
That lasted for some month until I found the best solution for Blackberry data. The solution was easy as a piece of cake xxx8211; I found an US company that proposes a great option to Blackberry owners. The company name is XXXXXXX and with the solution they suggest I could use my device data and voice capabilities without any problems, even saving on roaming charges during all of my trips abroad.
The first thing I did - I bought the XXXXXXXX international Sim card (for only 29.00$) which is 3G/GPRS enabled and is compatible with my BlackBerry device. Just by inserting this sim card you are already allowed to make and receive calls from and in any country in Europe. The cellular rates for out coming calls are very competitive (I pay only $0.39 per min in France for example) and the use of this service does not empty my bank account. (btw the incoming calls are free!)
Ixxx8217;m also a BlackBerry Internet Service user and Ixxx8217;ve chosen a flexible option that allowed me to activate XXXXXXXXXX service only for the duration of my trips. This is very simple and no settings have to be changed. I add and remove this option to my line without any limits and it perfectly suits my business travel needs. I pay simply for my usage. Within France I pay $0.005 per kb for web browsing and outside it I pay $0.015 per kb.
I think I found the best solution for myself and can advice it to any BlackBerry user. These options are really worth to try!

The only problem with this attempt at advertising is that push email and BlackBerry messenger won't work! As you email is tied to your PIN and carrier!

I don't get the PIN comment. Your PIN doesn't change when you swap out SIM's.

If you mean that BIS is carrier-specific you have a point there. BES doesn't care which carrier you're on though (another plus for BES).

I'm curious to see how they claim that BIS users don't need to change anything...

troy is saying that your PIN/IMEI/ESN is linked to your carrier. unless you release that BIS account you wont be able to register on any other carrier. (also if the SIM doesnt have BB data, which is almost certainly does not, you wont be able to get BB services)

Default International Text Messaging

Does anyone have a cost friendly idea about international text messaging? I live in Canada, but work in the US, and the rates to send text messages back to Canada are costing me a pretty penny.

Get a US phone since all US carriers consider SMS to Canadian numbers as a local text i.e., non-international.

If that isn't an option, use email and send them emails i.e., your friends 10-digit phone number (at) pcs.rogers.com

They can read the incoming SMS although it will charge them if they want to reply to your email address. Just let your friends know they should reply as an SMS to your number instead.

Or just convert all your friends to Blackberries and use BB messenger since it just uses data.

"Due to my business affairs I travel abroad very often. Usually my county of destination is France, but sometimes I also visit other places in Europe."

Rather wonky introduction... After reading that my first thought was "spam..."

I don't know about the rest of you, but I like Spam. Fried Spam especially, maybe with a little honey mustard drizzled over it. It's really good with scrambled eggs, too.
