I am getting alot of messages in my regular POP mailbox and my GMAIL inbox from RIM that contains the following:

This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

Any ideas?

Make sure your message services are not set to desktop but one of your email addresses instead. Options, advanced options, message services (or default services) and you will see it there.
