Hi

You have an sd card and mass storage is turned on?

When connected to the pc the media card is not accessible on the BB.

I don't use roxio. I simply plug in my bb to the pc and a box pops up from which I select 'open folder to view files' I can then remove / add pictures etc by dragging and dropping to/from this folder.

Another method is to go to my computer and select removeable drive, on my pc this is drive E.

These methods are much easier than using roxio.

Try them and let us know if this works for you.

Thats what he was telling you above. If you turn mass storage mode on, you will be able to explore the files like normal. If you want to use Roxio media manager, make sure DTM recognizes your phone and make sure that on the bottom left you have the mem card selected and not device memory.

You can see the memory card in roxio by looking at the bottom left, and choose media card. You will also see device memory. Yeah, as Mikeypants said, you could put it right in your computer, that would be the same as connecting your blackberry with mass storage mode. The same things would pop up and you would have the same options.

I'm having a similar problem. I get an E drive when I connect my BB but roxio doesn't see it. There is no e drive to select in roxio. I can select other drives but not E. Also should I be able to browse my media files on my BB memory too or just the media card?

You should be able to see every piece of media, card and all. I would say that as long as the media card is working fine with the phone as far as taking pics and saving to the right spot and doing everything besides connecting with roxio, then you should just uninstall DTM and reinstall it again. Make sure that your phone is not plugged in while installing it. Maybe if you are using the disc then its corrupted so go to blackberry.com and get it there, or maybe a different version all together. Also, I'll post a screen shot of how media manager should look:

Kenny, Thanks for the screen shot. That helps a lot. I noticed that it shows Blackberry under your devices but also shows that it's specifically reading the media card. Where would you look at the files that are on the BB? Can Windows see the BB files or do you need DTM to see it. I was expecting to be able to plug my BB in and be able to browse the files like any other removeable device. But all I can see is my media card, not the device files.
I don't think my media card is encrypyed. It's new out of the box and I didn't encrypt it myself. Also Windows can read the card, but Roxio can't. I'll try uninstalling a reinstalling it but I have a feeling it's something with the BB since Windows onlysees the media card and not the BB.

Hi, I have a kind of backwards issue. I work in the IT dept, we pushed out a policy that specifically does not require passwords on bb devices. A user needs to take pics with his bb for work, and he was unable to get them off onto his pc. He installed the DTM software and now is prompted for a password. The option to disable the pw is locked. He has an 8130 on version 4.3.0.60. Questions:

1. would simply updating to the latest DTM v 4.5 fix this?
2. Is there an option to download pics to his pc w/o using DTM? He doesn't have an SD card. (he had no pw to enter until he installed the DTM)
3. Is there a registry entry to disable pw's? I looked, couldn't find it.

Any thoughts, thank you....
