So no matter where I am typing, my blackberry will not let me type the phrase "hey, whats up?" As soon as I type in "Hey" and put a space and type "whats", when I put a space after whats, it dissappears and put a period after the hey and puts a space. SO its supposed to look like this:

Hey, what's up?

But when I type it my blackberry changes it to :

Hey. Up?

I don't even know where to begin with this one.

Try checking your AutoText first.... Could be a phrase you have in there that is causing it.

lol, yes, this is an AutoText issue, kenny has recorded some odd phrase there.

I've had this problem ALOT actually. I have this happen mostly with BB Messanger and what will happen is when I type and then hit the space, nothing will happen so I hit it again and it will do the double tap and period. If I try to type again, I get a input error message and the program shuts down. I've had this issue many times and had gone through quite a few handset wipes and still experienced this.

I just received a new phone from Verizon though, and have installed the OS4.3 so hopefully this will stop.

...although with the number of exchange pearls I have had (four since December) I would tell verizon that they need to get me out of the pearl, maybe then I could get into the Curve for next to nothing!!

The only time I see the behaviour of space not doing anything is when it's near the end of the line, and needs more input before deciding if a new line is needed or not. If space doesn't do anything, don't keep pounding on it, try typing more text and see if it doesn't continue like it's supposed to.

Trick, quit looking at the screen. Just type, then go back after several words. Let it do it's thing.

Well it just decided to suddenly stop and everything is fine! lol.

But when it was doing it, it was with everything (sms, mms, messengers, webaddresses, etc.)
