I used the "Setup Internet Email" icon and it takes you to the TMO site? It opens a browser page and one of the options is Service Books.
After I resent the service books, I pulled the battery. Once re-booted, I opened up message and hit the menu. Under options, I selected Email Settings and teh second option is Enable HTML Email.
I have to say, after enabling this, my emails look just like my computer. A Lot better than before.

finally got it all installed, and as I'm actually talking on the phone right now, at least that works!
its still hour glassing a lot when I try to open anything for the 1st time. and the spinning glass of death has happened a couple of times, but goes away with a battery pull.
After I get done with the crazy man from Sallie Mae I'm going to uninstall color pearl and see if that helps speed things up any.
I'm going to give it a couple of days and make sure all my apps work if its still crazy slow, I'll have to downgrade.

Installed It
Have an 8100 on T-Mobile. Went ahead and tried this new version out. Downloaded without a problem. Here are a few things I have noticed:
1) It is incredibly faster than previous versions. Switching from application to application is super quick. Opening up messages has zero lag (didn't even notice one before but now I know there was one).
2) Camera works perfectly - no problem from the get go
3) Seems to come with a different font than I noticed before. It might have been on previous versions and I just didn't try/see it. But the new font is very cool.
4) Several interfaces have been improved including media, browser, calendar, messages, etc. Very slick - attempting to look more like iPhone.
All in all, very happy with the upgraded version. One thing I did notice, though, was that it seemed to lock up from time to time. It happens less and less now so I think it is "breaking in" but it froze a few times and that never happened before. So had to take the battery out to reset. Problem is, when it loaded back up, none of the preferences in BB Dimension Today Plus were saved. So all the applications that I had re-ordered and hidden were all messed up. Every time I had to take the battery out, I would have to go trough the exhaustive process of setting my order back up and hiding all the applications I didn't want to see. Other than that, great update.

I wish that my camera worked on my t-mo 8100. I Like to take a lot of pics and the white balance was so messed up I had to revert back to 4.2.1.109.
Did you wipe and then install or just upgrade?
I really want to know how your cam works and most others don't?

Removing Color Pearl will no doubt make thisngs better since it is incompatable right now with 4.5 OS

I just installed this version on my Pearl, and while the new fonts and the general improved appearance of the OS as well as the 'get images' option in the messaging menu were nice additions, the camera was very dark even in a brightly lit room, and the BB started to reboot repeatedly and I was getting a number of uncaught exception errors from java, so I chickened out and ended up going back to 4.2. I'll just have to wait for T-Mobile to release their version, which with TMo's reputation for being unfashionably late to the technology party will probably be around December of '09. LOL Oh well, at least I got a very small taste of things to come.

I upgraded and everything seems to work fine except now the led (signal indicator) light is always on. It doesn't flash or anything, it's just constantly on. It was red so i changed the indicator led to ON. I set it back to off and now it's stays on..........yeah.

Remove ColorPearl and your led will go back to normal. ColorPearl doesn't work properly with OS 4.5.
I'm assuming you have an 8100 and not the 8700 you have in your profile.

Well i have both but yeah, i was referring to the Pearl (8100). Yeah Colorpearl does not work with BB which sucks, because i really loved how different my BB was from everyone else's just because of the color of my trackball.
Thanks a lot for the info.

So far so good on this new os, been on it for a couple weeks now and it seems to be working fine with a few exceptions. One is the camera, it is way too dark when it is just normal room lighting, and if I go outside it is WAY too bright, basically a comletely white screen. White balance is set to auto. I played with that setting and it doesnt seem to matter much either way. My girl friends perl is acting the same way. Its not a big deal because I rarely use the camera, it is just nice to have it on occasion. Second is the hourglass on things sometimes, but that has seemed to dimish with use thankfully. It was getting pretty annoying having to wait so long for the phone to do basic things.
