This EL powder may be used for making electroluminescentdevices. The EL powder is white but gives off blue electroluminescence uponapplication of AC current.
EL powders are specially made ZnS powder that was dopedwith small amount of other elements (such as Cu). This special treatment allowsthe ZnS powder to act as electroluminescent material when exposed to alternatingelectric field.
IMPORTANT: \'Glow in the dark\' phosphor powders WILL NOT work for EL.
