Blackberry Alerts 1.65 on Bold (9000)
Please Login to Remove!
I recently installed BlackBerry Alerts 1.65 on my Bold (9000). The LED does not seem to be working. When I run the LED test nothing happens on the device.
Is anyone using BlackBerry Alerts successfully on the BB Bold?
-Ken
P.S. "e-Mobile Alerts: Calls, Emails, SMS and more!" looks like a potential replacement if I can't get BB Alerts to work on the Bol. Has anyone tried it?

I'm not running a Bold but have been using BB Alerts for a year and a half or so now...
Are your permissions set to Allow so that BB Alerts can control the LED?

Hi Ken,
I have a Bold and have BB Alerts 1.65 loaded and running very well. I have it set for purple - emails, yellow - miss calls and voicemail, cyan - text...all work very well. The only setting that does not work is PIN...but that actually never worked for me on my curve either.
Good luck,
Cheers

PIN doesn't work on my Curve either. Does anyone know if any updates to this app will be released soon?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I may have typed too soon. I don't know what I did but it does seem to be working now. I have not tested it thoroughly yet. This is my favourite BB app and I'm glad to read/see it working on the Bold.

Feature Request
BBMel,
I am having difficulty getting the filters to work. I don't know the reason but one way which would help me figure it out is if the screen which lists the alerts you could also add details on which filter triggered the particular email alert.
In the meantime, some instructions on how to use the alerts would be useful. The application worked perfectly on my Blackberry 8800 but now I am having trouble getting the same results on my Bold so some additional debug tools would be super-useful.
Just a thought.
Thanks,
Ken

What does the filter actually do. I can only enter an email address. Does this exclude it from the alerts or include it. Can anything be changed in regard to the alerts.
For example I would like to have alert settings for one from address and one for other addresses.

After upgrading from 1.61 to 1.65 on my girlfriend's 8100, the LED will occasionally get stuck solid on. Either red (which is set to no service indication) or pink (which is set to text message notification).
Anyone else experiencing behavior similar to this?

Yes, I have and still do. The only thing that resolves it for me is a battery pull. Mine normally get stuck after I've received a voicemail.

JiveTalk has their own alert. Go into JiveTalk > Options, and somewhere towards the middle-bottom there's an option for light.

that is probably the best news ever. I was so worried I'd lose this and I absolutely love this application.

Not for Jivetalk, I'm afraid. I'd like to have the same thing, but doesn't seem to exist yet.
BB Alerts seems only to do repeating alerts for the built-in BB events, like SMS, Email, Calendar, etc...

It seems to work, but I am not getting the color LED to work.
On the bright side of things, I emailed support for a new reg code and he emailed me back the same day. Great service!
/EDIT
The "Test LED" setup does not flash the LED :(
