Well they won\'t be confussed now lol. The disclaimer was to keep him out of trouble if someone were to find a way to get it

I don't know what the big deal is with 4.0 software. The only advantage to having 4.0 is if your on a 4.0 BES.

So you would say that the use of the blackberry browser with Javascript support without having a BES is not an advantage? Or people that have a need for some of the apps provided, like Password Keeper, to me that's a great app to include.

I know not everyone can use the blackberry browser because their service providers may not have MDS setup on their end yet, but all of the nextel users can enjoy it then.. I have a friend that has been waiting for this and almost was ready to pull the trigger on a BES hosting solution.

There is advantages but it is still in BETA testing so ONLY people that are on the beta team would get support, etc. If you load 4.0 on your HH and you weren't supposed to, it will void your warranty. I say wait patiently until 4.0 is released then go nuts wth it.

You must admit that it would be really fun to play around with the new OS -- no matter how limited the experience would be without BES 4.0 :D :D

Whatever you do, in any conditions, do not install the extremely buggy 4.0.0.77.

Version 4.0.0.100 which is much more stable despite a number of relatively minor bugs.

The bad thing is that I could conceiveably wait till tomorrow and just get it from my RimRep. Impatience, it kills me.

That's all great, but when is the IDEN release?

It doesn't matter I guess, 'cause we are finally installing our BES in my office today. I will get new functionality to play with even with my old boring OS.

Am I wrong in thinking that I can install 4.0 on my 7510 with no problems? Is the software carrier/technology specific?
