So paying $80 for 2-years with a $105 deductible is a slightly better deal.
However, sorry to hear you're having issues with your Pearl. Hopefully you can get it replaced without too much hassle or are able to replace the trackball.

sgtcasey is exactly right.
Basically, you just forked out $80 upfront to be covered under the insurance.
The $105 is the deductible, and every insurance policy has this.
The difference is where you're money comes from in the beginning to be covered... Monthly? or upfront?
You got a better deal, quite honestly, BUT... Asurion is a much more reliable company and deals with all major competitors.
As for as Mobile Solutions (aka TMS), they are the most scandalous, most outrageous and high pressure company.
If you search google for TMS, there's HUGE threads on places like HowardForums that talk about people's experiences through them.
and.. I'm actually shocked that this is your only issue that came from your
purchase with them.
(Not saying all their salesman are evil... but quite a few.)
