Question Messages not sent from BB

Please Login to Remove!

There are many times when I try to send a mail via blackberry which it indicate that the mail has been sent through successfully with a “tick”, until when I check mail again to see if the recipient has replied (like 15 mins later), that I find out that the email has actually not been sent and suddenly the display of my mail turned from ‘tick’ to ‘X’ and sometimes I read that the reason for the sending failure is because it has been ‘timed out’.

This is really quite misleading when they indicate that the mail is sent and after about 1-15mins teh symbol changes. What causes this and whats the reason for the delay in the "tick" changing to "X"

Could be many reasons actually.

Your BES server could be experiencing problems.

It could also be network problems in your area. I notice then when we have outages here in the US.

I'm on a BES and we use Lotus Notes. The only time I have not had a message go thorugh was when I responded to a calendar invite and tried to "accept with comments". Tried to resend, resend, resend and it just would not go through. I have had no issues with just "accepting" a meeting invite. I haven't a clue as to where the problem resides.

The BES server seems fine as we have about 100 users on it based in london and are having no issues. The people complaining are users based on a exchange server housed in Hong Kong with the BES server in london.

Yes you are correct is mentioning that it could be the network coverage of the provider in HK which is "flaky" combined with the network link between UK and HK could be causing timeout as well, isnt it ?

Have you tried regenerating a new encryption key?
