meaning like on task manager on windows you can see the processes running...
but the only way you can do that on the pearl is while at the main menu screen hit menu button, then choose switch application and you can see which apps are running...
but other then that i dont there is any program or else where for you to manage that stuff

I believe that is about all you get. You can also hit Shift and the Back button and it will bring this up, but you must hold down the shift button and you can scroll through the running processes. To close one you just have to go into it and hit menu, then close or just keep hitting the back button and it will exit. The processes that run all the time on my phone are Messages, Home Screen, Browser, and Phone. I don't think you can stop any of those from running.

I don't have bb internet so I don't use any of those apps. I bet someone will have an answer to your question soon.
Also, if you are in an app and you hit the red "End Call" button the app will usually still be running in the background. Like if I am listening to an mp3 and I hit the red button the song is still playing and I can go and play a game or something while listening to the song. In order to exit the media player I have to be in that app and hit menu then close or hit the "back" button a few times until I am back to the main screen. I know this is redundant information, but maybe it will help to better explain.

some apps, need to be running all the time for them to work, like bbalerts it has to be on all the time for the alerts to be running
some apps you will not be able to close, why do you want to close them? they should not be slowing down your BB.

That is right, but why must mobipocket running latently on my BB, eworks or Beamberry? I must start these apps manually to use them... why they running in the Backround and eat RAM?

when you exit them,
are you (before you exit them) hit menu while in the app, and hit close or exit
then go into your "Switch App" and see if its still running

I understand the System now
The apps that not in binding with the system i can stop running with the Instructions here. The other apps (i dont know the Reason) must running permanently in the Backround, if in work or not - never mind (And cannot stop manually!)
Thanks for your Information, Cory and b_d0za
Best wishes from Germany

No, because these are apps, which i use 4 or 5 Times at Month - i need them on my Device!!!
At first Time thats my Request/Question in this Thread:
how can i supervise the Activities in the Background of my 81er?
Can i get some Software (like Task Manager for Windows) to view and record the Activities (for example: 3rd-Party Connection to the mobile Internet) in the Backround?
eFile-Desktop dont save the Files, and Flexispy i dont want do use
I get here no answer about my Question, but a way to see which apps are working at the Backround...
Thank you very much!!!

If you don't want stuff running "ghostly" in the background you have to make sure that whenever you open an app you have to hit the menu button and scroll down to where it says close or quit. If you just hit the end call button the program is still running in the background. But like they all mentioned, those select few items are always running. No way around it.
