Exclamation Keep settings ins user devices in 5.5 to 2003 Exchange migration - HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

My users have various models of Blackberry's (8700, 8800, etc) and are on a corporate BES and Exchange 5.5 infrastructure.

We are in the midst of migrating them to the corporate Exchange 2003 infrastructure.

Upon migration - all settings of their blackberry's are lost - in fact they are all wiped out and the device goes through an enterprise reactivation - almost like the users are getting a new device for the 1st time - when in fact they have had them for years.

My users are NOT happy - all rings tones, contacts, old emails, etc. are wiped - even after the email in their mailbox synchs up.

Is there a way to backup the settings 'en mass'? We have SMS that perhaps we could use to run something on the PC's in advance of the migrations.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
