I recently had to move mailboxes from one storage group to another. We then encountered a problem where users noticed duplicate entries in their InterAction contacts. After contacting Interface software, we learned that the entries in question were pushed during an Outlook to User synchronization. I then wondered if the move could have triggered something on the BB where users' contacts were recopied from the BB to Outlook (and then from Outlook to InterAction). I called BB Tech support and they mentioned that mailbox moves will copy contacts over and the workaround would be to wipe the handheld unit of its contacts.

I'm curious if anyone else has encountered this behavior.

I don't know what interaction is, but I've moved thousands of mailboxes with corresponding BB accounts and seen very few issues. Most related to the blackberry server not knowing where the mailbox was moved to until it was restarted. can't think of one related to content problems within mail,calendar or contacts. Although the majority of my experience is pre 4.0
