8703e: Flash Memory Vs. SRAM

I'm trying to clarify the memory question for 8703e from a technical point of view.
This device has 64 MB of flash memory and 16 MB of SRAM
I think that means this:
1. SRAM is volatile memory that loads applications and only functions when power is on. No data is saved to SRAM.
2. The flash memory is non-volatile. All user data and configuration settings are maintained here permanently whether the device is on or off. This data is NOT lost if the battery is removed indefinitely. The only way this data is lost is if it is WIPED.
Am I correct??
