Calls answered with music being played (Did not happen before)

I am having a peculiar problem:
The cellphone (pearl) answers incoming call while the music is being played through the inbuilt media player. This results in me hearing both the music and the caller... big nuisance.
Before the phone used to pause the music whenever a call comes in.
What is the issue?
