Default Anyone sync BB to ACT?

Please Login to Remove!

The version 4.0 on my Verizon BB 7250 works great with Outlook. I'm thinking about sticking with Outlook even though

I have been a long time ACT user, but the new release is a dog. However, has anyone tried using ACT on a BB? Does it work well on a BB?

Not directly. I sync ACT! > Outlook via DoubleLook from CompanionLink Software. I then sync my 7250 directly w/ Outlook. So far it's worked pretty good, no duplicates, quick sync'e, etc. The only issue is that recurring appointments from ACT! have to be manually deleted from Outlook, as DoubleLook doesn't automatically delete them.

BTW, ACT! 2005 does suck big time. May be the version that pushes me to Outlook for good.

I'm right with you on tha that ACT sucks big time. Outlook is so darn easy. I think that I will be spending my time exporting my ACT contacts into Outlook. I really like how the BB handles categories with Outlook. Besides ACT 2005 being a bad product, it does a very poor job with email. This is a killer for me. Thanks for replying...and verifying that it is time to move to Outlook.

How have you guys made the switch without the custom fields and mangers reports? I could make the change except that we have about 20 custom fields that we use in ACT right now. I can not figure out how to get custom fields in Outlook or I would implement the change for my sales force as well because ACT has a lot of problems with syncing. I also really like being able to run reports seeing how many calls and appointments that my sales reps make every week as well.
