Default 8800 vs 8700

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have the 8700c and was thinking about upgrading to the 8800 when it comes out. What does everyone think the benefits of the 8800 are over the 8700, besides looks?

<BEGIN OLD JOKE WARNING>

The difference between the 8800 and the 8700 is, obviously, 100

In this case, I think it is about all we can say right now. All we have so far in rumor of what the device will and will not have.

I wouldn't bank on any of it until the thing is finally out.

To clear this up for the millionth time there is no camera or Wi Fi on the 8800.

The main advances are newer OS, trackball (if you can call that an advance), memory card, voice dialling and GPS.

But can I take a picture or use VOIP?

If you don't have a camera, how would you take a picture?

I don't think the connection speed and quality will support VoIP. Plus I don't think there are many, if any, VoIP applications for the BB.

I think he was taking the p**s becuase he knows I'm fed up of hearing people going "I'm getting the 8800 coz it has Wi-Fi" and "The 8800 is the same as the 8700, only with a camera"!!!!!

I am really bad about forgetting release dates, and then when the stuff I have been waiting for is finally released, I walk in the store months later to find out it's been out, and I get very upset.

Taking a p**s? Didn't you mean to say, "Are you having a laugh? Is he having a laugh?"

I think the definite release date will be on the date that it's released.
