We are running BES 4.0 and Exchange 2003. When entering a calendar appointment on any Blackberry device, the corresponding entry does not appear in Outlook. If you enter the appointment in Outlook, it does seem to post to the Blackberry. Anyone have any suggestions or similar issues?

turn off wireless sync and then turn it back on. That fixes it for me when it starts syncing funny. I had a run of that when I deployed new 7520's to my current users. I haven't had the problem with the 8700's.

I'm not sure of all the details and I still have not seen a permanent fix for this issue but check for threads about permissions and matching cdo.dll files on BES and exchange. I'm lucky that it seems to only hit some of my users some of the time and not all!

I had this happen to only one appt. all others synced properly. I have not found any errors on the BES server or desktop. Deleted the appt and added new one. This worked fine. Odd

What his a reoccuring appt by chance? Maybe a change to an instance within a reoccuring appt?

One way calendar sync, when it works from Outlook to the handheld and not from handheld to Outlook is usually a permissions issue. Do a doublecheck that your BESAdmin account is NOT set up as a domain admin, but is set up as a local admin. Ensure that it has the proper send as and receive as permissions.

The other possible thing is that the CDO versions between the exchange server and BES are different (with exchange being newer). So make sure they are the same (or BES higher).
