Default Better E-mail Viewing

Please Login to Remove!

I'm kind of unsatisfied with the way my e-mail is displayed, and I'm wondering if there may be an option I can tweak, or maybe a better application I can load in order to fix my gripe. When I view e-mail, I have to scroll down through multiple http:/ links to finally get to the actual meat of the message. This proves very inconvenient when I'm, say, jogging, driving a schoolbus, or cutting my own hair while checking my mail. Can anyone offer any advice?

I hate having to do that too. I don't know of an easier way to do it though. The problem is people don't delete all of that extra crap before they forward an email. It gets very annoying and I didn't realize how much so until I got my BB.

Just played around with it for a minute. You can push the 9 button to advance a full screen at a time. It should speed up the scrolling a bit and hit the 3 key to scroll back to the top one screen at a time. The 7 key jumps to the bottom of the email and the 1 key jumps back to the top. Hope this helps.

That is what you get when you receive emails in HTML. The BB doesn't support HTML in emails. Most emails you receive from the web, say from Marriott.com when you make a hotel reservation, have a setting that you can check asking if you want to receive email in HTML or Text format. Always choose Text format whenever you're given a choice. I get very little HTML email anymore after setting up all my accounts like that.

Unfortunately, BB does not display html so this is what you get. If you're driving a school bus, you probably should not be checking email anyway

Came across this thread when searching. I realize that we could ask for emails in plain text rather than HTML, but many of us want to have the full HTML email for reference when back at the office.

Seems like there RIM or some developer would develop a fix for this. Even if the links weren't live, it would be great to have the links parsed to see what the "names" of the links are.

Just wanted to bump this to see if there were other suggestions.
