Default Enterprise Activation Only?

Please Login to Remove!

My question is about 'enterprise activation'. If a someone buys a blackberry, they have to 'activate' it and 'register' it with their service provider and use the blackberry webclient, etc. We are purchasing our blackberries from cingular w/an associated phone plan. Do we need to do THAT activation as well as the ENTERPRISE activation as well? OR do we not do the activation via the provider's webclient and only do the enterprise activation?

Thanks!

you want to make sure you tell your sales rep that you will be using your own BES and for all accounts to be keyed with BES and not BIS (blackberry internet service is the providers webclient) (t-mobile uses bes and bis together for BEs service)

Just to be a bit more clear for you...

BIS = Blackberry Internet Service. This is how you would use your BB if you didnt have your own BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

BES = BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Your own. Enterprise Activation.

Most BlackBerry plans are BIS&BES. Personally, I have my BlackBerry "Enterprise Activated" on my BES, then i have my webclient "Registered" to my home mail account.
