i have updated my software on the blackberry and it plays the songs whenever i email them to myself using gmail..but whenever i try to save the file as a ring tone it fails. any ideas on how i can get my ring tones?

I have emailed them to myself. And I haven't got them to play.
I have used Mini Opera to access GMail and can start the attachment download, but it never goes anyway. I have heard you can MMS to yourself
at your phone
That is what I am trying now.

So I will keep you posted. Let me know what you come up with as well.

Easiest way to do it is OTA. Download them from a website. The messaging option refused to work for me, but I had no problems grabbing them from any of the websites posted here.

Try Index of /files/Wav Ringtones or search the forum for others

here let me facilitate your dilemma...

use coolservice.dk to upload an mp3, then access the site via your BB, enter the code provided following your initial upload...and voila you can download to your device and save...enjoy....

yea i sorta figured that..but i wanted to put more of the song that just 1 mb...is there another way of doing it so i could put a lot more of the song on my phone..?
