Default Tutorial on updated OS

Please Login to Remove!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm lost looking through those 500 messages chatting about upgrading your phone. Is there any simple write-up or HOW-TO on upgrading your phone to the latest version of software?

I'm getting the itch to upgrade, but I'm totally confused how to do it without loosing everything on my phone.

Any help or links is much appreciated.

I found the "What if I want to downgrade" portion of this thread useful....

Jibi already did this. It's the very first post. If in the directions you see Desktop Manager 4.1, in your mind switch that to 4.2.

Last question...do I loose everything? Like bookmarks, vid's, mp3's, notes, etc? I didn't see anything in the instructions to save all of that?

Nope, part of the upgrade process is a backup, you'll be just fine.

Gracias...I was going to do it, but now I've decided to wait again. If tmobile has nothing by the end of the month I'll go for it.

I dont think T-mobile will have anything for a while. The rate at which they release new OS's seems to be at a snails pace. I also noticed that the roger 4.2 desktop manager is a little higher than t-mobiles rogers is 4.2.0.14 T-mobile is 4.2.0.10... Just gos to show ya rogers had there pearl out about a month after Tmo did
