Default Bluetooth/IT policy

Simple question. Why do Admins push down policies to disable Bluetooth?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 7100g: BlackBerry7100/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Save battery life? I would never do that, myself... Seems silly.

They don't. The default policy option is set to disabled for some of the BT functionality that would not necessarily be deemed as 'secure' (such as BT transfers). Most likely the admin simply isn't aware of the disabled feature, or they simply don't think it falls within security guidelines, etc. It was part of a rollup of policies that just kind of snuck up on most admins who already had security policies in place.
