Question Message Ordering

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a new Blackberry use and I'm mostly happy. One thing I'm finding annoying is the ordering of messages within the message folder. I have them ordered based on date/time, but they are backwards. I want the oldest messages at the top and newest at the bottom. Is there a way to accomplish this? I always want to go through them oldest to newest.

For additional clarity, my phone is 7130c, if that makes a difference.

Actually I'm not sure that's possible. Would be nice to see on a newer OS. If I'm wrong on this and there is a way to do this please correct me.

Even more, I'd love to be able to separate out my personal, non-BES e-mail from the BES e-mail as well. Zen does it for texts, which I never use or receive, but it would be great if I could specify that my Yahoo and Hotmail e-mail was sent just to the dedicated icon for each, and not to "Messages". Would it be possible to create a theme that accomplished that?
not that i am aware of, the "messages" folder sort of serves as a central area to store all your texts/bis & bes emails.. the way i do it is just ignore the messages folder then open the individual BIS folders...

the other way to do it is when your in the messages folder click your trackwheel and go to search, then there is an option to limit which account you want to view and whether you want to see the sent or recieved emails or both, it takes only a few seconds to do each time and it will limit what you account you are viewing messages from while in the messages folder

Drat. It seems like such a simple thing. I've always found that default in some e-mail apps showing the newest messages at the top was counter-intuitive.

Always interesting to hear how others do things. Myself I much prefer having the newest stuff at the top. I don't want to scroll down through messages to get to the newest.

Same with me, much easier for me to prioritize this way. Unless I procrastinate, then I'm eff'd since all the old email are way down there.

You should have separate e-mail account icons for each of your e-mail accounts, so you'd have one for your Yahoo account, one for your Hotmail account, and one for your BES email account that you could display, unless I'm missing something in your setup?

If the result you're looking for is to get to the oldest unread message first, simply press "U" on the keyboard while in the message list display. After you read each message, press "U" to get to the next oldest unread message.

I have one for Yahoo, and one for Hotmail, but none for BES...just the messages folder. How do I set one up for my BES account? Just use the personal e-mail setup?

Also, Dodge, thanks for the "U" tip, I'll try that!

Um, I actually have a different problem. All of my messages are showing up under March 1, 2006 - which is obviously impossible and they are showing oldest first and newest at the bottom. Since I have about 2,000 emails, it's ridiculous to scroll through that many messages. Any idea how to fix this?
