Hi all,

I received a email with attachment from my sister this morning. I could open the word attachment and review it. However, I thought she did not write me any other personal note in the email body.

When I went back to office to check the gmail from my PC, I was surprised that she did write me some personal notes in the email body for the same email which it was pushed to my bb 8700g.

The odd thing is, I can't view the msg body from my BB.

I did notice there has 2 attachments in my email in BB but it is actually only 1 attachment in my Gmail.

Would the first one "application multipart/mixed" be the "message body"? how can I read that from my BB?

I have the same problem with my 8100. Anybody know an answer to this?

i too have the problem, it seems to be something with the way gmail handles its msgz that is not sent properly to the blackberry

I think I figured out the problem. Seems to be a Gmail problem.
When you send an email with an attachment Gmail must be adding some rich text into the message and the Blackberry cannot display it. If the sender selects the plain text option when sending the email it goes through fine and you can read the message and view the attachment.

I hate to thread jack and I searched for a solution, but I'm new to my 8700c and up until today I was able to view word attachments. Today, the option to "open attachment" is gone when selecting for example [1 Attachment] and then clicking the wheel to "open attachment". Anyone have any idea how to trouble shoot. I resent the service book thinking that this might help. I'm using BIS. After sending the service book I sent myself an email with a short word attachment, it show up on the BB w/out a paper clip on message icon nor is there a "open attachment" option. Thanks in advance.
