Hi,

I must be shooting blanks here because I swear I did it before but can't replicate it... how do I dial a mixed number.

For example, 800 WX BRIEF

If I press and hold the alt key, I can compose 800WXBRIEF on the dial line, but when I press Send, it attempts to dial 8009.

Am I going nuts here?

i cannot find the 7500 thread, any links would be appreciated. Briefers keep it safe.

Yeah, I can't find the 7500 thread either. Must look on the sectional, it's gotta be there somewhere

I did figure it out, try this... in dialing phone mode:

Dial 800, then hold down the alt key (lower left hand side of the keyboard) and then type the QW key twice, then ZX key twice and so on. Holding the ALT key keeps it in Multitap mode.

Thanks for the info. That's what it was, and how I did it before. Very cumbersome however to hold down the alt key while double-pressing the ZX key.

Another option is to hold down the * / sym key for a second or so, the phone will go in text mode, and any characters can be typed easily.
